Zimin Li wins the Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad, 2018

The China Scholarship Council has awarded a Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad to Zimin Li, a recent PhD researcher from UCL-Elle- soil science. This award is considered as the highest award given by Chinese government to the graduate students study overseas. This honor, with a cash prize of $ 6000 and a certificate, is awarded annually to ca. 500 Chinese PhD researchers studying overseas. This competitive grant will be awarded at the China Embassy in Brussels on May 2019.

Zimin Li is selected based on his original contribution to the impact of biochar application on the biological silicon feedback loop in soil-plant systems, a FNRS (aspirant) PhD project which he is working under the supervision of Pr. Bruno Delvaux and Co-supervision of Pr. Jean-Thomas, Cornelis
