Stefano Vissicchio received the "2016 IEEE INFOCOM Best Paper Award Runner-up" for the paper "FLIP the (Flow) Table: Fast LIghtweight Policy-preserving SDN Updates".
INFOCOM is one of the most important conferences in the domain of computer networks. Each year, about 1500 papers are submitted for oral presentation and 250 papers are accepted. Among those, two papers are distinguished by the Organizing Committee.
This not the first time Stefano Vissicchio gets an award. In August 2015 he received the Best Paper Award at the SIGCOMM conference, which is considered by many researchers as the most prestigious conference in the domain of computer networks. This was the first time that a paper mainly written by European researchers got this award.
