ABSTRACT
The hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol is regarded as one of the most promising scenarios in the context of “Carbon Capture and Utilization”. While thermocatalytic, electrocatalytic, and photocatalytic processes are being developed by many research teams, it becomes urgent to rationalize the pros and cons of each method and to guide the community towards the most effective options. Here, leveraging on the theoretical and experimental investigations made in his research center at the University of Chulalongkorn, Prof. Piyasan Praserthdam will propose an enlightening comparative study.
