On the 7th and 12th of October 2022, the students of the Civil engineering master visited the renovation site of the "Theatre Jean Vilar".
This emblematic cultural centre of Louvain-la-Neuve needed a make-over. Indeed, the proportion and orientation of the great hall restricted the artists' creativity. It is a wide-ranging renovation.
They even cut through the slab of Louvain-la-Neuve to gain some height beneath the ceiling. They also use specific techniques like prestressed concrete, 3D lattice, façade conservation, acoustic optimisation, etc.
