Doctoral day 2019

IRSS Bruxelles Woluwe

The Doctoral Day, hosted by UCLouvain this year, brought together many talented PhD students to share their ongoing research. Students from ULB, UCLouvain, ULiege and UNamur presented on an array of topics including epidemiology, sociology, economics, clinical practice, and public health. The day was organized into parallel workshops and PhD presentations. During lunch, attendees could interview students about their accompanying posters. Great work to all the PhD students for their hard work and dedication!
Maria Maria Moithino de Almeida (Hospital Resilience to Earthquakes) and Antoine Christiaens (Appropriateness of glucose-lowering therapy in geriatric patients with type 2 diabetes), from UCL, won the presentation prize. Chiemeka Onyeze-Joe, from ULB, won the poster award: “Experiences, views and needs of first-time fathers in pregnancy related care: a qualitative study in south-east Nigeria”.

Finally, thank you to the organizers for a smooth and productive day, it could not have happened without you!
