Our Friday lectures aim at providing the researchers with an up-to-date view of various research topics together with a source of scientific culture to the researchers of the institute. However, the audience is quite diverse and comprises researchers working on different organisms (bacteria, yeast, plants, mammals) and using various methodologies (biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, physiology, proteomics…). In addition, seminar attendance is mandatory for all PhD students and is integrated within a doctoral training activity on scientific communication. Hence, we ask speakers to pay special attention to the didactic aspects. For instance, a large introduction (typically 10 to 20 minutes according to the complexity of the topic) is very helpful to the young Ph.D. students. The lecture starts at 12:50 and is expected to last for 45 min followed by a 10 min discussion.

The seminar will be held in the seminar room Jean-Baptiste Carnoy of the Life Sciences Institute.
