Florian Gourgue won the prize for the best oral presentation at the 6th annual meeting of the International Society of Cancer Metabolism (ISCaM) that was held in Braga. Florian presented the results he obtained during his thesis on the link between obesity and breast cancer. The thesis is conducted in the team of Prof. Benedict Jordan and Prof. Patrice Cani. The recent research suggests that high levels of adipokine apeline observed in obesity may facilitate the progression and metastasis of triple negative breast cancers.
