Call for Applicants: "Move In" Post-doc Fellowships 2019 (FSR)

The Institute for Multidisciplinary Research in Quantitative Modelling and Analysis (IMMAQ), UCLouvain, informs you of the launch of the call "Move In" Post-doc Fellowships 2019 (FSR). These fellowships – for a period of 12 to 24 months – target international highly-qualified postdoctoral researchers.

Successful candidates will have a strong CV. They are expected to perform high quality research and produce academic papers suitable to be published in leading academic journals. They will also participate to the research activities organized at IMMAQ.

Research in IMMAQ is organized around the following broad areas:

  • Statistics and Biostatistics

Eligibility conditions

Applicants must:

  • Hold a doctoral degree (PhD);
  • Have maximum 5 years of postdoctoral experience;
  • Be in mobility condition, i.e. not having resided nor carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 12 months over the last 3 years
  • Commit to apply in January to the F.R.S.-FNRS Mandate for Postdoctoral Researcher (CR)

How to apply

The application for a postdoctoral fellowship needs to be supported by the research center in which the applicant intends to work (CORE, IRES, ISBA, or LFIN). Interested candidates are invited to follow this procedure:

  • No later than Thursday, September 20, 2018: (i) complete the first section of the application form (Curriculum Vitae) and (ii) prepare a preliminary research project (1-2 pages presenting the objectives and methodologies of the project as well as a title and the 5 most representative keywords). This should be sent by email to: core-fellows@uclouvain.be
  • By Thursday, September 27, 2018: shortlisted candidates will be notified by IMMAQ and move on to the next stage to prepare the full proposal with the support of IMMAQ.
  • Monday, October 15, 2018: deadline for submission of full proposals. This should be sent to: crec-adre@uclouvain.be.
