Advancing Knowledge of Alternative Organisation
6th Doctoral Workshop on Critical Management Studies
Paris, 28-29 March 2017
This 6th Doctoral Workshop is organized by the University Paris Est (Institut de Recherche en Gestion) on 28th and 29th March 2017 on the topic “Advancing knowledge of alternative organisations”. As with previous workshops, this event aims at offering a supportive space of discussion to researchers who intend to position their PhD thesis within CMS. PhD Students and young CMS scholars are invited to submit papers (in English or in French) that are relevant to the CMS stream in general and to the annual topic in particular (on alternatives).
Keynote speeches will also punctuate this event: Valérie Fournier (University of Leicester, UK) on the issue of the commons; Hélène Picard (associated researcher of the OCE Research Center, Emlyon business school) on a critical approach of “liberated companies” in France and Belgium; and Bénédicte Vidaillet (University of Paris Est Créteil, France) and Youcef Bousalham (University of Rouen, France) on the concept of “syntopia” developed from the study of cowering spaces.
