8th  Belgian Entrepreneurship Research Day, Mons (Ateliers FUCAM)

Deadline for submission extended to April 20, 2017 

After Antwerp (2010), Louvain-la-Neuve (2011), Hasselt-Diepenbeek (2012), Brussels (2013, 2016), Gent (2014), and Namur (2015), the Belgian Entrepreneurship Research Day (BERD) will be hosted by the Université catholique de Louvain in Mons on May 16, 2017.
The objective of the BERD is to bring together, in a yearly research day, Belgian academic researchers in entrepreneurship to enable interaction and to present their recent research.

The organizing committee for the event that yearly takes place in one of the Belgian universities or business schools is composed of: Prof. Hans Crijns (Vlerick Business School), Prof. Marcus Dejardin (University of Namur and Université catholique de Louvain), Prof. Frank Janssen (Université catholique de Louvain), Prof. Eddy Laveren (University of Antwerp), Prof. Vincent Molly (KU Leuven), Prof. Bernard Surlemont (Université de Liège), Prof. Myriam Knockaert (Universiteit Gent), Prof. Wim Voordeckers (Universiteit Hasselt) and Prof. Olivier Witmeur (Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management).

This year keynote is Prof. Arjen van Witteloostuijn, Professor of Economics and Management at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, as well as Antwerp Management School and the University of Antwerp in Belgium. He will start the research day on the following topic: Creative Industries and Entrepreneurship. The other sessions will be dedicated to papers’ presentations. Depending on the number of papers, two or more tracks will be scheduled.

PhD candidates, researchers and professors are invited to submit papers in any area of entrepreneurship. Empirical and theoretical contributions are welcome. Persons who cannot present a paper can serve as a discussant of another paper. English will be the working language during presentations and discussions.

Participants who wish to attend BERD 2017 can register and submit their paper in electronic format by sending an e-mail to contact@berd2017.be.

The deadline for registration and for submission of full papers is April 1, 2017. A notice of acceptance will be sent by April 21, 2017.

Conference fee: Participants are asked to cover part of the expenses to the amount of € 50
(Université catholique de Louvain, IBAN BE55 0013 6623 9744, Code SWIFT/BIC: GEBABEBB, Communication : Your Name + BERD 2017). This covers lunch, coffee breaks and documentation. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses.
