UCLouvain ranks 128th in the world

UCLouvain is the second-ranked university in Belgium according to Times Higher Education

On 26 September, Times Higher Education published its annual international university rankings for 2019. Among the approximately 1,258 ranked institutions, UCLouvain climbed from 129th to 128th. It ranks second among the ranking’s eight Belgian universities, behind KULeuven, and remains the top-ranked French-speaking Belgian university. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is based on a series of indicators, including teaching, research – for which UCLouvain earns particular distinction – and international outreach.

Belgium has three universities in the top 200. KU Leuven ranks 48th and Ghent University 143rd.

The top five are the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), Stanford University (USA), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (USA) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) (USA).
