Several programmes financed by Belgian, foreign and supranational public authorities help UCLouvain host highly qualified researchers from abroad and support collaboration of high scientific quality with renowned institutions.

UCLouvain gives itself the means to fuel its international ambitions, as evidenced by the FSR Incoming postdoctoral fellowships program.

Outgoing researchers: gain experience abroad

UCLouvain encourages its researchers to seek new experiences abroad with renowned scientists, in order to build and refine their network, find inspiration in the latest innovations in their field and get out of their comfort zone. Such ‘outgoing mobility’ opportunities can be funded by public, private, Belgian, foreign or supranational programmes.

The 4th International Financing Forum (IFF) brings together about 15 organizations that finance and organize stays abroad. The 2020 edition of the event was 100% online. The FFI is also information sessions and workshops, all to be reviewed in Replay. These stays can take various forms: complementary studies, internship, PhD, research stay, work, volunteering/ volunteering, language immersion, ...
