Continuing enrolment

SIC

The procedure depends on whether you are:

currently enrolled as a UCLouvain student or

not currently enrolled as a UCLouvain student.

Continuing enrolment without interruption of studies:

(for currently enrolled UCLouvain students)

How to submit a re-enrolment application ?

UCLouvain students currently enrolled who wish to re-enrol/register for the next academic year must submit, the day after their last exam board meeting, their re-enrolment application online between 27 June and 30 September

Students do so by going to their virtual office -> ‘My studies’ widget > ‘Re-enrol at the University’

Comments:

  • Students who do not plan to register during the September exams session submit their re-enrolment application by 31 August.
  • Students who plan to register during the September exams session submit their re-enrolment application after their last exam board meeting and, if possible, before 15 September
  • WARNING: students who want to modify their study orientation, wich are one of the below profiles must do the enrolment process through a new online application following the official enrolement calendar and not by the re-enrolement process explained above:
    • of a nationality outside the European Union or
    • citizens of the European Union but have a non-Belgian access degree

Bachelor degree-specific information

  • Admissions exam: First enrolment in bachelor of science in engineering, civil or architectural engineering orientation
  • Limited enrolment (KINE, VETE, LOGO, MD, DENT): First enrolment in a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, veterinary medicine, psychology and educational sciences, speech therapy, medicine and dentistry
  • Entrance exam: First enrolment in a bachelor’s degree in medicine or dentistry

If online access to this procedure seems blocked?

In certain cases, access to online re-enrolment can be temporarily blocked, such as when:

  • the student’s enrolment file is not in order. In this case, a message will invite the student to contact the Enrolment Office in order to put the file in order as soon as possible, which will then make online re-enrolment possible.
  • the student is enrolled for the September exam session. In this case, a message will inform the student that an online re-enrolment application can be submitted only after the September exam board meeting.
  • the application is submitted after 30 September. In this case, a message will alert the student about the online re-enrolment application period. The student will be invited to contact the Enrolment Office to check whether a late application can be accepted.

How to know whether an online re-enrolment application is accepted?

After confirming your online re-enrolment application, you will automatically receive an email at your UCLouvain address confirming receipt.

The decision of the Enrolment Office will also be sent to your UCLouvain address, informing you that either:

  • your application is accepted, or
  • additional documentation is necessary (ex: faculty exemption, ‘resident’ file, etc.)

The Enrolment Office receives hundreds of applications each day and will do its utmost to respond to yours as soon as possible
