Our Admissions Services will send you an email to inform you once you have been enrolled at UCLouvain and they will provide you with your NOMA (your unique student ID). With this information and only then, you will be able to complete the following steps to set yourself up on the UCLouvain system.
STEP 1 - ACTIVATE YOUR GLOBAL ACCOUNT
In order to access all the platforms you'll need while sudying at UCLouvain, you will be required to first activate your Global Account. To do so, you will be required to have your NOMA handy and to first enter your private or home university email address as a password recovery email and complete a short questionnaire to identify yourself: ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT
STEP 2 - LOG INTO YOUR UCLOUVAIN EMAIL ADDRESS
This email address will be used by all the UCLouvain services that you will deal with, so please make sure that you consult it regularly. Information about your course and exam registration will be sent to that address. Your UCLouvain e-mail address will be automatically created within 24 hours after the activation of the global account.
STEP 3 - CUSTOMIZE YOUR VIRTUAL OFFICE
On any UCLouvain web pages, please click on "MyUCL" in the top right hand corner (you'll need your username and password). This will take you to your UCLouvain virtual Office, which consists of various widgets such as:
- My Studies (for your course and exam registration)
- My Schedule: add all your courses by using their codes and separate them by commas (,) and NO space.
- My emails
- My UCLouvain News

STEP 4 - YOUR UCLOUVAIN ACCESS CARD
This magnetic card will be useful to access the libraries, didactic rooms, carparks. Please upload your photo (passport format with a white background). You should always have it with you. You will be required to show it at the start of each exam you'll take as well.
It takes several days to make your access card, so please remember to do this before the start of the academic year. Further information can be found here: https://uclouvain.be/en/discover/smartcard.html.
STEP 5 - CONSULT YOUR SCHEDULE
Before the start of the academic year, check the schedule for the courses you have selected. You can do so my viewing the "Schedule" widget in your virtual office.

STEP 6 - WIFI ON CAMPUS
- At UCLouvain you can access the eduroam Wifi network.
- Your login should be: your global identifier@wifi.uclouvain.be + your password
- You can have access to it in auditoriums, teaching rooms and libraries.
