Mission du Professeur Lusine Sargsyan, Matenadaran (Erevan, Armenia)

Lusine Sargsyan graduated from Yerevan State University, UNESCO Chair of Armenian Art History (PhD) in 2016. She holds the position of a Junior Researcher at “Matenadaran” Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and also is a Visiting Lecturer at Yerevan State University.

She’s a participant of International fellowships - Foundation of Sirarpie Der Nersessian, Paris, France (in 2012 and in 2015), New Europe Foundation, New Europe College Institute for Advanced Study, Bucharest, Romania (in 2013-14 and in 2017), Swenson Family Fellowship in Eastern Christian Manuscript Studies, Hill Museum and Manuscript Library, Collegeville, Minnesota, USA (in 2017).

Her research interests include Medieval Armenian Art, the Art of Armenian Diaspora, Armenian Codicology and Paleography. She’s a participant of many International conferences in Europe and in the USA.
