Assessing sustainability knowledge of our students / Last results from Sulitest

Louvain-La-Neuve, Mons

The course of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) given to Master 1 LSM students came to an end early November. Throughout the course, students have learned about various aspects of CSR through applied projects, exercises, interactive lectures and guest speakers’ sharings.
To assess the evolution of their sustainability literacy, students took the Sulitest twice: before and after taking the course. After some encouraging results from the first test, the outcomes of the second test reflect that students consolidated but also significantly developed their knowledge of sustainability throughout the course. While their score on the general module of the test remained overall constant (59% of positive answers), their knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) greatly improved with an increase of 14 percentage points, reaching a score of 57%, well beyond the national average score. In particular, results show that students have gained deeper understanding on transition towards sustainability and on their role to play, both individually and collectively. This paves a promising path for the rest of their journey as responsible leaders.
