The CTMA is a mixed clinical-academic technological platform in charge with the issues related to Biological Threats. CTMA develops its multidisciplinary expertise through academic industrial and military networking, taking advantage of in house existing and emerging technologies.

Accordingly, this platform hosts at the same location researchers appointed
by the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) -  Institut de Recherche Expérimentale et Clinique (IREC)
and its associated academic hospital (Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc).
Several fruitful academic, industrial and military partnerships are currently active.
