Computing Resources
CP3 members have access to the
Manneback UCLouvain cluster. This cluster is made of two parts:
- The CP3 ingrid cluster described below, providing 2500 computing cores with high priority to CP3
- The Manneback UCLouvain cluster, shared with other UCLouvain researchers, providing 1600 computing cores
If you are looking for instructions to access the infrastructure, please read
this (CP3 authentication needed).
The CP3 ingrid cluster
- Connected to the WLCG
- 2192 cores: (19x2x24 - 2.1 GHz 192GB RAM / node) + (16x2x24 - 2.2 GHz 192GB RAM / node) + (4x2x64 - 2.35 GHz 512GB RAM / node)
- Mass storage: 2412 TB (disks)
- Access and other info
- Sister cluster at IIHE (ULB-VUB)
- 288 cores: (6x2x24 - 2.4 GHz 128GB RAM / node)
- Mass storage: 344 TB (disks)
Cosmo cluster (not part of Manneback)
- 296 threads: 13x2x4 AMD Opteron 16GB RAM / node + 4x2x8 AMD Opteron 32GB RAM / node + 4x2x8x2 Intel Xeon E5 64GB RAM / node
- Storage: 25 TB (parallel fhgfs) multiplexed over stripped Gbit ethernet across the nodes
- Access and detailed specifications
Performance
- Intel Xeon Silver 4116@2.1GHz, 48 cores - 530 x 19 WNs
- Intel Xeon Silver 4214@2.2GHz, 48 cores - 572 x 16 WNs
- AMD EPYC 7452@2.35GHz, 128 corers - 1750 x 4 WNs
Average HEP-SPEC06 score per core = (530*19 + 572*16 + 1750*4)/(48*19 + 48*16 + 128*4) = 11.96
Total HEP-SPEC06 score by machine type

Other resources
CP3 members also have access to the computer clusters funded by CECI. A detailed listing of the CECI computing resources can be found here. These clusters are located across universities of the French Community of Belgium (Communauté française de Belgique) and amount for a total of 8300 computing cores.
