The Employment Unit of UCLouvain Mons

The Employment Unit is at the service of final year students and graduates, young and old, looking for a job or a professional reorientation.

It is the privileged interface between the worlds of academia and work, between students and employers. It is an advice and information center for future and former UFCaM graduates.

Concretely, it offers students :

  • help in defining their professional profile and actively looking for a job;
  • a centralization of job offers and proposals for internships in companies;
  • the organisation of various events to help graduates and future graduates find a job.

The Employment Unit, in close collaboration with ALIFUCaM, takes more initiatives to help final-year students meet potential employers, notably during the « Career Day », where former FUCaM Alumni of all ages and from various professional backgrounds, whether from the world of private companies or public administrations, answer students' questions in forums.

During the « Recruitment Day », recruiters, sometimes accompanied by former graduates of the institution, come to the campus to start the first job interviews!

The Employment Unit also partners with AIESEC to organize "Jobs days" in which large companies from all sectors (banking, insurance, distribution, services, IT, non-market, etc.) participate on campus with the aim of quickly recruiting future graduates! A number of future graduates pocket a contract even before the June exam session.

The Employment Unit completes its supervision with other activities that are as important as they are effective: help in creating a suitable CV, help in writing an application letter, advice on how to better understand the first job interviews with a human resources manager or a company psychologist in charge of selecting candidates, provision of specific documentation and books, keeping a file of the right addresses to know or the right people to contact in order to apply effectively for a job in Belgium or abroad.
