Jean-Charles Wijnandts is a PhD Researcher affiliated to Louvain Finance (LFIN), the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE) and the Finance Pole of the Louvain Institute of Data Analysis and Modeling in economics and statistics (LIDAM) at Université catholique de Louvain. Moreover, he is a Research Fellow of the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (F.R.S. - FNRS).
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Finance under the supervision of Professor Mikael Petitjean (Université catholique de Louvain and IESEG Lille). His field of research is Applied Econometrics with a focus on Macroeconometrics and Empirical Asset Pricing.
Before joining the Ph.D. program in finance at the Université catholique de Louvain, Jean-Charles obtained his M.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). His curriculum in UPenn was supported by a fellowship from the Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) and the Francqui Foundation. Additionnally, Jean-Charles holds a Research Master in Economics (M.Res.) from the Université catholique de Louvain and a Master in Economics and Management from HEC-Liège.
