Delphine Misonne is Professor at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels, FNRS Senior Research Associate and Head of CEDRE ( Environmental Law Research Center) at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels. 

She is an environmental law specialist, interested in the legal determinants of ambition in environmental law, in various fields like climate change, air pollution, nature protection, new approaches to pollution prevention. Her research portfolio also includes works on rights for nature and on global commons. She recently published in Science a paper on Harnessing science, policy, and law to deliver clean air, is the author of several chronicles on climate litigation and human rights ( Revue trimestrielle des droits de l’homme), and the co-editor of the Grands arrêts inspirants de l’environnement, Larcier, 2024 ( landmark cases on the environment), among other publications. She is a member of the Belgian Council for Sustainable Development. 

She is also an académicienne since 2023, as a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium, Classe des Lettres et des Sciences morales et politiques.
