The course will develop key approaches of environmental governance at different non-EU levels including environmental governance in Asia, environmental governance in Latin America, environmental governance in Africa. It will discuss how these other continents perceive environmental governance in general, and environmental governance in the EU more specifically.

At the end of this course studens are able to: understand non-EU (and more generally non-Western) practices in environmental governance; to know how to de-center the irperspective in an increasingly diverse and global world.

des acquis des étudiants

Assessment consists of a final exam (80%) and active engagement throughout the course (20%); please note that the participation component (20%) cannot be retaken in August.
