Main themes
The pharmaceutical dosage forms that are produced include tablets gastroresistant capsules, parenteral dosage forms, sterile unguents, suppositories and aerosols. Controls include rheology, osmotic pressure, sterility tests as well as dissolution, desaggregation, friability of solide dosage forms.

Content
The course is based on the production and control of pharmaceutical dosage forms, in particular tablets and iparenteral drugs. The students will use the European Pharmacopeia and other reference books
Teaching methods
The students will produce and control dosage forms. They will justify the choice of excipients and the methods of manufacturing and control.
Evaluation methods
Evaluation based on the pharmceutical dosage forms produced by the student, the written or oral reports (18/20) and a written evaluation (2/20).
In the case of repeated absences, even if justified, the instructor may propose to the examination board to deny the student’s registration for the course unit exam in accordance with Article 72 of the General Examination Regulations (RGEE).
Any overall average below 10/20 will be rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Other information
Participation in practical sessions, tutorials, and exercise sessions is mandatory and essential for validating the course unit. Any unjustified absence will result in a penalty on the course unit exam, which could lead to the cancellation of the exam grade for the academic year in question (0/20).
A mandatory written test will take place before the start of the practical sessions, covering the main topics from the first year of the Master's program that are necessary for the second-year practicals. The topics to be reviewed will be communicated on Moodle. Students scoring below 10/20 will incur a penalty of -1 point on their final course grade, while those scoring above 18/20 will receive a +1 point bonus on their final grade. A score between 10 and 17 will have no impact on the final course grade.
