Understand the impact of the development of the Internet on our society, which has become the "information society", and particularly on fundamental rights and freedoms. Technological development is presenting new challenges for rights and freedoms: the right to privacy is being called into question by the commoditisation of personal data and the monitoring of every trace we leave when we use technology; freedom of information is being undermined by the spread of disinformation and fake news; freedom of movement is being called into question; political rights are being undermined; the electoral process is being affected, and so on. | |
