Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

- Target Skills On completing this Unit students should: - Possess a command of the theory and practice of the languages studied and be able to use this expertise in the field of translation; - Possess strong intercultural awareness enabling them to understand, analyse and contextualise translation tasks; - Have the ability to use and expand discipline-specific knowledge; - Have the ability to use the body of theoretical and practical know-how that is specific to translation and interpretation.

Content

- Q 1: Oral expression work and oral comprehension exercises based on the basic disciplinary vocabulary studied in MLE (Level A1-A2).
(sich vorstellen, Aussehen und Charakter, Umwelt, Welt der Gefühle…)

- Q 2: Oral expression work and oral comprehension exercises in the language laboratory based on the disciplinary vocabulary studied in MLE (Level B1).
(die Suche nach Glück, Probleme der Jugend, der Zustand unseres Planeten…). Phonetics exercises are used to strengthen students' oral expression and comprehension skills.

Teaching methods

Exercises
Individual preparations to the course online. Face-to-face teaching. Active participation highly recommended.

Evaluation methods

To obtain the credits associated with a UE, the student must sit all the parts of the examination relating to the UE (whether they relate to learning activities - AA - or parts of courses).
Formative assessment and certificate assessment (Q1: 30% - Q2: 70%)

• Oral expression: oral examination.
• Listening comprehension: written exam (Q1) covering different types of questions, oral exam (Q2) covering different types of questions.

This course is subdivided into two parts (oral expression and listening comprehension).
It is not possible to transfer any part of the grade.
