Main themes
This teaching unit will train in:
*the importance of expression/representation tools in a projectual approach and analysis of architectural space and/or artistic perception.
*the narrative opportunities offered by each of the tools of expression/representation mobilized during the projectual approach, at all scales and at each one of the phases of the approach (observation, in situ surveys, architectural understanding through drawing, analysis, research, composition, restitution) *the tools of expression/representation of a space in two or three dimensions
*the context of emergence of the different means of expression/representation and the significant milestones that characterize each of them, both historically and symbolically
*the composition of expression/representation in the production of a “discourse” written and spoken

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
Learning outcomes and contribution to the LO reference system: Experiment with an artistic approach Master the knowhows and codes of space representation, in two and three dimensions. Explore and restitute the experience of a complex spatiality by observing and questioning it. Express clearly orally, graphically and in writing the fundamentals of his idea(s). Identify the keys of an hypothesis and a proposal to express and communicate them. Build one’s own architectural culture Know and criticize the multiple references of the disciplinary culture. Adopt a professional attitude Organize, plan, develop and synthesize an individual work The outcomes will take the form of - a booklet related to the theme of the workshop or the architectural studio, resuming the decomposition of the context analyzed and the tentative designs to respond to the challenges faced. - drawn productions, photography, film in connection with the territories under study and illustrations of the project intentions that they inspire |
