Content
The course is given in the perspective of accompanying students in the mastery of methods of semiotic analysis of any device involving signs or languages, by striving to make explicit the meaning attached to them and to describe their potential effects, both in terms of induced relationships and of the cognitive effects solicited.
Teaching methods
In addition to the lectures, individual and group assignments are required in order to allow students to practice the methods of analysis presented and to make them their own. The course also requires additional readings to deepen the content covered.
Evaluation methods
The evaluation is continuous and is based on the submission of three individual assignments (two of which are online) and two group assignments.
June session: the grade out of 20 is based on the results of the compulsory assignments.
Second session (September): the mark of the group work is kept and the students represent, in addition, an individual written or oral exam (according to the number of students) which consists in analyzing a device which puts in play signs or languages.
