Evaluation methods
On a topical European issue, students will produce :
A written report on the selected European news item, access to European sources and documentation, and identification of relevant contacts.
With the whole class, produce a magazine-style television programme, recorded live, to summarise the European news (with debate, guests, reports, on-stage developments, etc.).
Together with the rest of the class, the students will also produce various digital publications for Instagram, with the aim of highlighting the programme's content for a young audience (aged 18-25).
NB: Each student's final mark will be made up of 30% for their written work; 30% for their personal involvement in the course and practical work; and 40% for the collective mark for the practical work.
In the event of a second session, students must individually complete :
A written assignment on European current affairs, access to European sources and documentation, and identification of relevant contacts. (30%)
A 3-minute video report on European news or issues, with a local angle. (70%)
