The practical work in the first block of the Master of Law program is designed to provide a practical approach to the subject matter covered in one of the courses in the Master 1 program. It takes place over four two-hour sessions spread over the first or second four-month period, depending on the subject in which it is taken.
All or part of the practical work can be carried out in a language other than French, such as English or Dutch.

Teaching methods
Sessions are held face-to-face. However, students may be required to perform tasks outside the classroom (e.g. watching a video, listening to a podcast, reading a text, etc.).
Evaluation methods
Sessions are assessed :
primarily, in the form of a five-hour in-class test organized after the last session and consisting, for example, of a commentary on case law, the resolution of a case or the drafting of a pleading ;
on a secondary basis, in the form of continuous assessment or points awarded on the basis of student participation in practical work sessions, or an oral presentation.
