  • The osteoarticular system, muscles and locomotion function

  • The heart, vessels and circulatory function
  • The thoracic and abdominal viscera and the respiratory, digestive and urogenital functions
  • Basic anatomical and palpatory landmarks: superficial bony and tendon reliefs, vascular landmarks and pulses, projection of organs on the skin surface.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Describe the structures that make up the human body (three-dimensional representation of the different systems of the human body) (2.1, 11.1,11.2 Physio – 9.1 and 9.2 EP)
  •      Explain how anatomical constitution contributes to function (cardinal relationship between form and function) (2.1, 11.1, 11.2 Physio – 9.1 and 9.2 EP)
  •      Use scientific and medical nomenclature (2.1, 11.1 Kine – 9.1 EP)
  •      Use the description of the structures of the locomotor system to explain the movement (2.1,11.2 Kiné - 9.2 EP)
  •      Identify basic anatomical and palpatory landmarks (2.1, 11.2 Kine - 9.2 EP)
 
Content
Will be completed by the titular professor when the courses will be attributed
Teaching methods
Lecture in audience illustrated with numerous anatomy plates.
The presentation will focus on prioritizing the anatomical descriptions by placing them in a functional, medical, paramedical or sporting perspective.
Evaluation methods
Written exam by MCQ.
Some questions relate to structures or organs illustrated in the questionnaire.
The correction of the exam is arithmetic and does not include a negative point in the event of an incorrect answer. For the calculation of the final mark, arithmetic rounding to the nearest unit is systematic, except for marks lower than 10/20 for which rounding is done towards the lower unit.

Prerequisites:
- Mastery of the French language
- Memory capacity, particularly visual
- Good three-dimensional representation
- Analytical mind
This course is reserved for FSM students. Its access is possible to other UCLouvain students on the basis of a file to be given to the course coordinator.
