Main themes
The seminar is an opportunity for students to discover the requirements of the professional world through a first internship experience and to refine their choice of master's studies, with regard to this experience. It participates in a progressive system of SPI (Socio-Professional Integration). Students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with classic SPI tools: CV, cover letter, skills assessment. Through various works, they are called upon to define the skills acquired during various experiences and to develop their reflective view of the company, the bachelor studies and themselves.
Students are strongly encouraged to carry out their internship in a company or organization allowing them to develop the competency of the LSM Bachelor's competencies referential "Communicating", in English or in Dutch. To this end, the faculty provides students wishing to carry out their internship in English or Dutch with support in order to prepare themselves in the language, for their integration and for work in the company of their choice.
Although strongly recommended, the possibility of embarking on an internship in English or Dutch is not compulsory, and the support and preparation work for students who have taken the step will not give rise to a formal certification evaluation. No mark relating to foreign languages will be included in the final mark of the Professional Development Project .
