Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Identify the place of the tennis instructor course in the organisational landscape of the AFT and sport in FWB. (1.1 and 8.3) 
  • Integrate the principles of running a sequence adapted to the characteristics of tennis and the target audience in a motivational climate. (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.2) 
  • Apply the principles of leading and adapting game situations using different organisational methods and inductive learning. (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.2) 
  • Apply and identify opposing game situations in different formats adapted to the target audience. (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.2) 
  • Identify the elements which optimise the activity and learning of the target group (organisation, distribution and/or engagement of the ball, playing area, sequence structure, etc.). (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4) 
  • Identify and apply the elements needed to structure and optimise a general or tennis-specific warm-up (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.2). 
  • Apply the principles of leading a group of children through play situations that promote safe learning (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.4). 
  • Identify the basic tactico-technical principles of the activity in order to propose game situations adapted to the internal logic of tennis (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4, 4.2, 4.3, 8.2). 
  • Identify accident risk factors in order to prevent them and react appropriately (1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 3.4) 
  • Identify and apply basic ethical rules
