Main themes
  • Palpation: of bone structures, muscles, tendons, arteries, nerves.
  • Awareness of the effect of touch/palpation on the feelings of peers.
  • Analysis of movement: amplitude of movement, limitation of movement, muscles involved, possible movements, on peers.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Perform technical palpation procedures on peers (3.1, 4.2, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 Physiotherapy - 1.1 EP)
  • Identify bone structures and soft tissues on peers (2.1, 3.1, 4.3, 11.1, 11.2 Kiné - 1.1 EP)
  • Describe movement, muscles in action and limitations to movement (3.1, 4.2, 11.1, 11.2 Kiné - 1.1 EP)
  • Analyse movement by palpation of muscles and joints on peers and on the basis of simple clinical vignettes (2.1, 3.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.4, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 Kiné - 1.1 and 1.5 EP)
  • Functional synthesis of the elements involved in the same movement (3.1, 5.4, 11.1, 11.2 Kiné - 4.1 and 4.7 EP)
