Learning outcomes
At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : |
- understand the specific features of a research approach and the conditions for producing scientific knowledge;
- carry out an in-depth critical reading of texts in information and communication sciences;
- carry out specialised bibliographical and documentary research using specialised platforms and databases;
- use bibliographic and documentary resources with discretion in the context of academic work, respecting the rules and good practice of citation, referencing, non-plagiarism and the use of AI;
- visualise the main stages of a research process in information and communication sciences ;
- find their way around the range of main communication research methods and discern their possibilities, limits and ethical issues ;
- find their way around the different types of IT tools that can be used in communication research;
- carry out a state-of-the-art review of the scientific literature based on an initial question, and present the results in the form of a written work and an oral defence.
