Main themes
The aim of the ‘To Build’ internship in the Bachelor’s program is to provide students with hands-on experience in handling and using construction materials, while working alongside professionals involved in the construction process. This course is of the immersion-observation type and takes place on-site.
It includes the following learning objectives:
  1. Step outside the university environment to explore the world of construction firsthand,
  2. Return to the faculty with a deeper understanding of constructive aspects and integrate this knowledge into the design of architectural projects.

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Specific Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Define and articulate learning objectives, select a framework for an internship, and justify the choice,
  • Identify and graphically represent construction techniques and processes observed on-site,
  • Recognize the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders involved in the construction process,
  • Critically analyze the theoretical content of the construction-related classes in relation to on-site realities,
  • Develop a reflective mindset to shape a personal professional identity in relation to the art of building.

In line with the program’s learning outcomes (LOs), this course contributes to the development and acquisition of the following LOs:
