The ‘Professional Practice’ internship in the Master’s program aims to immerse students in a professional environment, progressively involving them in real-world architectural practice. This observation-immersion internship takes place within an architectural office. It involves the following learning objectives:
  • 1. Integrate into project activities by observing office operations and the various stages of a project, while applying acquired knowledge in a practical setting.
  • 2. Develop an awareness of one’s skills within a professional environment and understand the role and responsibilities of an architect in the building process.

Specific Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Identify learning objectives and professionally plan engagement with the working world,
  • Describe specific tasks within an architectural office and analyze professional attitudes and behaviors,
  • Establish connections between professional practice, theoretical coursework, and/or the TFE,
  • Analyze the organization and functioning of an architectural firm, including its interactions with other stakeholders in the building process,
  • Critically evaluate one’s own professional practice and identify areas for improvement and adjustment.
