Content
The course raises students' awareness of the way in which journalistic treatment of certain issues and/or certain groups/actors can shape, crystallise and direct their media representation. It focuses in particular on the issues involved in integrating diversity and minorities (of opinion, gender, origin, religion, etc.) into news research and dissemination practices.
Teaching methods
The course will alternate between oral presentations (online or face-to-face depending on the health situation) given by recognised external speakers and the teacher, and work in the flipped classroom based on social science research (journalism studies) carried out by the students.
There will also be Q&A sessions (via teams or face-to-face) and debates between students, lecturers and teachers.
