This course covers three main themes: 1. legal aspects of sport, 2. institutional aspects, 3. economic aspects.
This unit aims to provide an introduction to the sports industry so that students can examine the structure, organisation and relationships within the Belgian and international sports system.
This unit aims to provide an introduction to the fundamental principles of private and public law that influence sport and its administration.
Finally, this unit aims to provide an introduction to economic principles and examines the commercialisation and professionalisation of sport and its impact on the organisation of sport.

Content
This teaching unit offers a multidimensional introduction to the field of sport through three main axes: legal, institutional and economic. Students discover on the one hand the foundations of private and public law that govern sport and its administration, and on the other hand the structure and organization of the sports system in Belgium and internationally, highlighting the role of the different institutions and their interactions. Finally, the EU addresses the economic principles applied to sport, including marketing, professionalisation and their effects on the evolution and organisation of the sector.
