Participant observation placement in pre-school, primary and lower secondary (psychomotricity and physical and health education):
  • Similarities in the profession, didactic invariants and diversity of teaching practices
  • Learning continuity and disruption; didactic knots
  • Identification and support for psycho-socio-motor learning difficulties, particularly in relation to certain teaching practices
  • Reference framework of initial and core skills
Seminar :
  • Creation and appropriation of observation grid(s) for the themes of the placement, which will give rise to an observation report
  • Collective discussion of observation results
  • Reflection on professional identity
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Les compétences de l’organisateur et accompagnateur d’apprentissages dans une dynamique évolutive.
  • master subject content, its epistemological foundations, scientific and technological developments, didactics and teaching methodology (31.);
  • mastery of knowledge relating to learning processes and research into the various models and theories of teaching (3.2);
  • have a thorough command of written and spoken French in order to teach and communicate adequately in the various contexts and disciplines related to the profession (3.3);
  • take account of and develop the language dimensions of learning and teaching, paying attention to the language of schooling or language of learning and being aware of the socially and culturally unequal nature of familiarisation with it (3.4).
 
Les compétences du praticien réflexif
  • read critically the results of scientific research in education and didactics and draw on them for their teaching activities, as well as drawing on various disciplines in the human sciences to analyse and act in professional situations (4.1) ;
  • gradually build up their professional identity, in particular by using personal professional development tools such as the portfolio (4.3).
 
Teaching methods
The course is taught in person and is designed around a co-development dynamic (collaborative learning).
Evaluation methods
Students will be required to submit an observation report detailing the diversity of teaching practices, continuities and discontinuities in learning observed at primary and lower secondary level.
The observations made will also enable students to reflect on their identity and professional development as future upper secondary school teachers.
