The course intends to take students to a deeper level of understanding of contemporary sport issues. This does not mean that the course follows the agenda of the media on a day-to-day basis, rather that experts introduce students to diverse scientific perspectives on managing contemporary sport issues such as
- The governance of European sport and other sport models
- Player contract negotiations and player logistics
- The ethics of managing sport like doping, safesport, ...
- Diversity and inclusion in sport (gender, race, disability, social, LGBTQI+,…)
- Sport Analytics
- Digitalisation of sport organizations
- Sport Diplomacy

- Well-being and mental health management strategies within sport environments
