Main themes

The student will take an active part in research activities in a research team research team approved by the Faculty for 3 00 hours. The theme of the work will be defined by mutual agreement with the head of the research laboratory, in in principle, as an extension of the activities carried out during the first year of the year.
Students will keep a research notebook and present the results of their work in the form of a report and an oral presentation at the end of the second year of the year. Students are strongly encouraged to v isit a research laboratory with a similar outside UCLouvain.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Participate in an ongoing research project within the host team. (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4) Applying the basics of scientific experimentation: formulating hypotheses, defining a research design, collecting and processing data, statistical processing and presenting results. (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 4.3, 4.4, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4) Be part of a research team. (5.1 and 5.3)
