Understand, Diagnose, and Manage Major Central Speech Disorders

• Understand, diagnose, and manage dysarthrias.
• Understand, diagnose, and manage apraxia of speech and verbal dyspraxia.
• Understand, diagnose, and manage stuttering.
• Introduction to other central speech disorders: mutism, anarthria, etc.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, the student should be capable of using their knowledge and/or finding the necessary information to understand, prevent, diagnose, and effectively manage speech disorders resulting from central disorders: dysarthrias, apraxias of speech, verbal dyspraxia, stuttering, and other speech disorders.

The course assessment aims to measure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes. This assessment will consist of an examination comprising open-ended questions. The assessment language is French.
