Main themes
The course gives to the students an overall picture of the history of Christianity from its origins to the present day. It also aims to raise awareness among students of the different levels of ecclesial life, from the daily life of Christians to the institutional dimensions and the relationship between the churches and the political power.

Content
The course gives to the students an overall picture of the history of Christianity from its origins to the present day. It also explores the history of the Churches at the different levels of ecclesial life, from the daily life of Christians to the institutional dimensions and the relationship between the churches and the political power.
Teaching methods
At the end of this course, the student will have a general view of the history of Christianity and will be able to situate the events that marked this history.
Evaluation methods
An outline over two questions will be handed out (to help the students better prepare for the final exam) 20% of the total grade
Should AI be used, students have an obligation to mention it and to what extent ; it is discouraged because the handed-out outlines are intended for personal appropriation of the material, which the AI-generated files do not allow.
Oral examination on questions already indicated to the students 80% of the total grade
For sessions after January, the assessment will be based solely on the oral exam.
