The course takes an interdisciplinary approach, covering economics, law and sociology.
This activity will focus on analysing the institutional mechanisms at work in the field of family policy and the underlying logic behind them, based on the study of various topics. Public policy in this area and its instruments will be addressed, incorporating insights from law, economics and sociology.
Teaching methods
The course consists mainly of an interactive oral presentation, based on PowerPoint presentations and recommended readings.

- Lecture, with space for discussion
- Individual reading of articles
Courses will be given in person and/or remotely, depending on the evolution of health conditions.
Evaluation methods
Assessment is based on a written examination comprising multiple-choice questions and/or true/false questions (for a maximum of 25%) and open-ended questions (for the remainder). Assessment covers the entire subject matter, including lectures and readings where applicable. The open-ended questions may consist of a combination of questions requiring students to reproduce information, interpret a text or document, apply concepts seen in class and/or interpret graphical data (tables, graphs, etc.) relating to a part of the course material.
The assessment methods for the second session are identical.
