Main themes
This course studies: - enterprise in the economic environment, - organisation design and framework, - fundamental aspects of enterprise analysis (variable factors, human resources, capital) - fundamental tools of enterprise management: accounting, financial analysis, risk analysis, investments profitability analysis, decision analysis, and marketing - strategic aspects of enterprise management in agricultural and food sector: enterprise/ environment, innovation-patent-intellectual ownership rights, enterprise growth, vertical versus horizontal integration.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
| 1 | This course is an introduction of enterprises functioning and management in agricultural, food and bio-industrial sectors. The objective of this course is the study and application of fundamental concepts and tools of enterprise management. At the end of this course, the student should master fundamental concepts and be able to analyse autonomously typical problems of enterprise management in the agricultural and food sector. |

Team Work
Analysis of an enterprise based on a specific theme. Realized in small team (e.g. 5 students)
Evaluation methods
Evaluation :
Oral examination of the content of the classes.
Evaluation of the Team Work. This work has to be executed during the first semester to ensure the realisation in group.
Support:
Use of AI: The use of AI is not permitted when writing the Team Work report, when solving exercises during practical sessions, or as a substitute for reading or viewing specific compulsory content (e.g. a video report, reading a chapter of a book or a text). The following uses are, however, permitted: translation assistance (an initial translation that is subsequently revised by the student), and use similar to that of a search engine to generate raw information which is then revised (exploring a topic, or identifying basic elements of a reflexion or relevant sources).
