At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
| On completing this Unit the student should:- Without a dictionary, understand a text in simple LSFB simple (history, simple information, simple sentences); - Extract the key information from such a text and transfer and convey them in the target language; - Answer general and specific questions on these texts; - Have enriched their lexicon in terms of both current usage and a range of topics - Use basic translation tools; - Analyse, compare and comment critically with reference to relevant theory on the translations of simple texts. |

Content
Expression and comprehension in LSFB (A1–A2 level)
Students will learn to understand and express themselves in LSFB through simple videos and short signed productions.
They will regularly express themselves, in front of the class or in small groups, on topics related to everyday life: introducing themselves, talking about their family, hobbies, school, environment, weather, or simple daily events.
The videos used in class will help students understand different signing styles, recognize basic vocabulary, and identify simple grammatical structures.
Reformulation activities in LSFB will help students sign with greater fluency and clarity.

Evaluation methods
Mid-year evaluation in January (30%):
- Written assessment : a comprehension test using a video text in LSFB
- Oral assessment: expression in LSFB
Final assessment (70%)
- Written assessment : text comprehension
- Oral assessment: oral expression in LSFB
Continuous assessment takes place during the year (participation in class, homework), with the related marks contributing to the marks in January and June.
The certificative asessment of this module consists of a single exam. It is
therefore not possible to transfer any part of the grade.
Attendance is compulsory. Absence from more than 1/3 of the sessions or unjustified failure to submit 1/3 of the written work by the prescribed deadline will result in refusal to register for the examination.
