Main themes
Texts of rhetoricians and authors of the 19th and 20th century, essentially French, covering the question of literature and fiction in their connection to reality.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Mastering the relations between fact and fiction through the theoretical contributions of rhetoricians and practitioners of literature.
 
2 Understanding the specific influx of fiction in the grasping of reality and in the transmission of personal and collective experiences.
 
Content
The course is divided into three parts.
  1. Reality and fiction, and the relationship between the two
  2. The construction of the narrative
  3. Examples of adaptations of literary narratives for film and theater.
Teaching methods
The course will combine video clips for part of the material, and audience sessions, with the possibility of inviting guests to address specific topics or hearing student presentations (group work).
Meetings, either face-to-face or via Teams, will be organized with the groups, to support the development of group work.
Evaluation methods
Group or individual work, the details of which will be specified during the course.
