Main themes
The topics covered in the seminar will address Software engineering and programming systems. In particular, scientific articles are selected in these fields.
On the one hand, students are confronted with problem of the quality of a scientific bibliography. Moreover, students read scientific literature (eg articles from international journals).

Content
The seminar will focus on articles that will be chosen (with the students) from a variety of different topics in the field of software engineering and programming systems.
Teaching methods
Each student will play 3 different roles (in the different sessions):
- presenter during a session
- rapporteur for a new session
- illustrator for yet another session
Evaluation methods
In first session:
As this course is based on participation throughout the academic year, grades obtained for the course activities will automatically be carried over to the resit session. It is not possible to retake this course during the resit session.
Use of generative artificial intelligence
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the course instructions, the use of generative artificial intelligence tools is prohibited.
- Writing a group survey after reading 15 to 20 articles
- Peer review of two survey papers produced by other groups
- Presentation of a research article
- Participation in class activities
