The course aims to prepare students for academic work and, ultimately, for the completion and writing of their master thesis.
The LOPES2203 course aims to provide ongoing support for students throughout the thesis process. In addition to the support provided by the supervisor and the support committee, the LOPES2203 course organises group monitoring of the dissertation process and the sharing of best practice among students, as well as arrangements for individual support.

Teaching methods
Group sessions are organised throughout the year, partly to support progress on the dissertation and partly to encourage the exchange of best practice amongst students. Individual sessions are organised for students whose project is not yet sufficiently developed or who are experiencing difficulties and would like some one-off support.
Evaluation methods
Students register for the examination session for this module when they register for their dissertation defence (LOPES2298). The final assessment for the module is based on the master thesis' final grade.
