This teaching shall be focused on the study of Geopolitics as field and scientific concept. It shall analyse its evolution since its inception until nowadays, underlining the various uses it was subject to.The teaching shall bring to the fore the questions raised by a geopolitical perspective and the tools this suggests as answers, with a more specific accent on crisis and conflicts. The teaching shall be made of magistral presentations from the professor and presentations from the students.
At the end of this teaching, the student shall be able to analyse, based on the use of tools, concepts and theories of geopoliltics, several of the main issues generating international and contemporary crisis and conflicts.

Teaching methods
The first part of the semester with magistral presentations from the professor.
The second part of the semester for the presentations of cases by students.

Evaluation methods
The evaluation during an oral exam shall be focused on three aspects :
- active participation to the sessions of the teaching
- oral presentation of student's works
- writing of a policy brief
